About this tour

Horton Plains is a plateau at about 2,100 metres with a 9 km loop walk to World's End, a drop of about 870 metres, and Baker's Falls. The cloud usually closes over the view by 09:00 or 10:00, so you leave Ella at 04:30 and drive about two hours via Haputale and Ohiya. It is cold at dawn and hot on the open plain by mid-morning. Park tickets are included; no jeep is needed.

  • World's End, Mini World's End and Baker's Falls on the 9 km loop
  • Sambar deer at the car park at dawn
  • Park tickets included; your own car drives to the trailhead
