You come back to Nallur for the late-afternoon puja. Men remove their shirts inside the kovil; everyone covers their legs. Jaffna is very hot from April to August.

- During the 25-day Nallur festival, usually from August into September, the kovil is packed from early morning; the 2027 dates are not yet announced.
- October to December are very wet; November averages about 435 mm.
