What happens

A wetland park of lagoons and salt pans south of Tissamaharama, known for water birds and migrants rather than big animals. Flamingos are present in some years, not every year. Crocodiles and elephants are also seen; it is quieter than Yala.

Limits

Up to 6 people in one group.
Tracks are bumpy. Not advised in late pregnancy or with back problems.
Open-sided jeep: bring a hat, sunscreen and a light layer for the early start.
