About this tour

Three to four hours at sea from Trincomalee harbour looking for blue whales, sperm whales and spinner dolphins, in the months when the west coast is rough and this coast is calm. Sources disagree on the season; May to August is the window they all share, and we do not quote sighting rates. The boat fee is from one price list, published in December 2025 and titled for 2026, and the government wildlife fee is budgeted in the price.

  • Seat on a boat with life jacket and guide
  • Blue whales and dolphins in season; sightings vary
  • Back at the hotel before lunch
